June 22- June 25

1. Keep using your imagination. Keep building 3D figures of your choice. Try and build something creative every week.
ideas:
-build 3 different animals out of lego
-build 3 different trees out of lego
-create 3 different vehicles. One must have wings.
-create 3 different houses. One must have a window.
2. Keep a drawing journal. Bring your sketchbook outside. Draw what you see. Draw the same object from different points of view. Have fun. Be creative all summer.
3. Create something out of cardboard.
-build a fort
-build a game
-build a robot
-build a marble track
-be creative. Have fun.

Mixing It Up

June 15- June 19

A. This week I want you to be creative. Build something of your choice with Lego.  If you can't think of anything, look around your room and pick something and give yourself a challenge of the week.
B. Draw a picture of something you love this week. Think about the details around your picture before you start. Are you drawing from a bird's eye view? Are you drawing from far away or close up? Do some planning before you get started.

Wolves

June 8- June 12

A. Can you make a wolf out of Lego? Will the wolf be laying down, howling at the moon, or running? What can you create with your imagination?

B. Can you draw a wolf howling at the moon? Will the wolf be standing on a mountain? Will there be stars in the sky? What kind of forest is nearby? Think about all the details before you start.

Frogs

June 1- June 5

A.Can you make a frog out of Lego? What kind of frog will you make? What colour will your frog be?

B. Can you draw a tree frog sitting on a branch of a tree or climbing up the side of a tree?

Or can you draw an underwater picture of a cloud of tadpoles swimming in a pond?Send me a picture of your favourite drawing.

May 25- May 29

A.Can you make the Eiffel tower out of Lego? Over the years it has been painted many different colours. What colour will your Eiffel tower be?

B. Did you notice that the Eiffel tower looks like the letter A. Can you draw the word PARIS but draw the Eiffel tower instead of the letter A? Be creative. How many ways can you write the word Paris using the Eiffel dower as part of the lettering? Send me a picture of your favourite drawing.

A Lego challenge ( Un défi de Lego):

Challenge 1: Can you make a box of crayons out of lego? How many different coloured crayons will be in your box?

B. This week you are going to draw a picture from the point of view of a bird. Can you draw a picture  that someone drew on their sidewalk? But imagine you are a bird soaring high above and looking down. What did the bird see? Did he see the tree, grass, and sidewalk? Did he see a dog being walked on the sidewalk too? Be creative with the details you draw in your picture. Don't forget to add the drawing that someone drew on the sidewalk.

a. Can you build a flat butterfly that is symmetrical? (Both sides match completely)

b. Can you build a Butterfly out of LEGO that is 3D. Can you make it look like it is in flight?
